In recent years gliders have got more and more complicated, with more cells, more ribs, extra mini ribs and ever increasing amounts of plastic. The idea behind the Tala is to produce a wing that has a low cell count for its class, but the smoothness of each cell is improved though the latest technology.
This has the advantage of reducing the weight and the complexity of the wing whilst keeping the very best performance due to the very low line consumption.
The glider weighs in at just 4.75kg for the 25 sq. m.
There are no lightweight materials in it either, its a pure 3 liner and only 235m which is closer to the line consumption of a 2 liner than a 3 liner.
