Paragliding club Krokar ZELEZNIKI invites you on traditional RATITOVEC OPEN CUP competition. The competition is ranked as FAI-2 competition and will be held for 4 days from Thursday (23st Jun.) to Sunday (26th Jun.).
Location:
Take-off is located on Ratitovec, the hill near Soriska Planina (5 km). This place is well-known because the best Slovenian XC flights were flown here (from Lajnar).
First Out and Return World distance record over 200km on paraglider was made from Ratitovec last year! So nice, long and the best races are guaranteed!
The place is situated 30 km east of Tolmin or 15 km south-east of Bohinj lake, one of Slovenian best-known turistic and paragliding spots. Landing place is located almost on the foot of Ratitovec (in Studeno village), near the main road Skofja Loka - Zelezniki (Look at the map!)

from 23th. to 26th Jun 2005
- wednesday 22th. jun - registration from 14:00
- thursday 23th. jun - registration, 1. competition day
- friday 24th. jun - competition day
- saturday 25th. jun - competition day
- sunday 26th. jun - competition day, prize giving
ceremony
Entry fee:
- 50 EUR to 15.06.2005, after that date entry fee will be 70 EUR.
- Entry fee can be paid by bank transaction on account:

- The entry fee includes transportation for gliders to the take off and pilots to the nearest
point of the take off, retrievals to the landing area.
Transportation:
Transportation to Take-off will be possible for gliders only. Gliders will be transported from landing place with trucks to the nearest cable wire and then transported to the take off. First round of the gliders will be picked at 7:00, so please be there early that there will be no delays at start. Pilots will be transported to the village Prtovc from where you need 30 min. walk to the take off . Without gliders this can be nice and relaxing walk after crazy nights.
Prizes:
Best three in four days will receive a cash prize in amount of 120.000 SIT (500 EUR), and practical prizes will be confer amongst to other pilots.
Accomodation:
The list of possible accomodation is given here .
FREE CAMPING will be also possible 200m from landing place, with a bar, offers you food and drinks.
There is also football (soccer), basketball and tennis place for spending free time.
Others:
Race will go on according to the FAI regulations. The competitors need a license for paragliding pilots, they also need a FAI licence and extra insurance (covering the civil liability in competition as well as help, the rescue in the mountains and repatriation). Wearing a helmet, a VHF radio and
carrying a rescue glider are obligatory, a celullar phone is strongly advised.
Flying is at you own risk!
