    Flymaster GPS SD zeigt keinen AGL Wert an

    hallo zusammen,

    ich habe mir ein neues Vario von Flymaster GPS SD gegönnt. An sich bin ich soweit zufrieden, bis auf die nicht funktionierende AGL Anzeige. Während dem Flug wird immer der Grundwert "----" angezeigt. Beim Auswerten der Daten am Computer werden die AGL Daten (Geländehöhe) ebenfalls nicht angezeigt.

    Ich habe mich bereits an Flymaster Support gewendet, aber nach Ihrer Prüfung heißt es nur: es müsste funktionieren, da die AGL Daten in dem Sektor wo ich fliege vorhanden sind. Tolle Antwort!

    Jetzt meine Frage an die Community:
    Kennt jemand von Euch das Problem? Kann ja nicht sein dass ich der Einzige mit diesem Problem bin. Im Internet finde hierzu überhaupt nichts, was eigentlich schon sehr danach schreit, dass ich etwas verkehrt mache.

    Ich habe die aktuelle Firmware 1.06p drauf und die SD-Karte mit allen Daten direkt von Flymaster bekommen. Eine alternative SD-Karte habe ich mit den Daten von der Homepage mit dem gleichen Ergebnis ebenfalls ausprobiert. Und meine Testflughöhe = Startüberhöhung entsprach zwischen 200m und 300m, also deutlich höhere als die Toleranzstreuung von 20m.

    Hallo.

    Du schreibst es zwar, dass Du alle Daten auf der SD Karte hast, aber ob das so ist, kann ich Dir nur sagen, wenn Du hier ein Listing postest. Achtung es zählt nur das Root Verzeichnis.

        Nein es liegt nicht daran, dass ich Dir nicht glaube.

        Die Files GLExxx.fgl und GLWxxx.fgl (xxx = 000 bis 179) sind die AGL Datenfiles. Das stimmt soweit. Sie müssen aber - so wie auch die mapx.fmp (x = 0 bis 9) und world.frd - unbedingt direkt im root sein, also ohne weiteren Folder.

        Sollte das "/Volumes/NO NAME/" bei Dir Unterordner auf der SD Karte sein, so verschiebe alle Files ins root Verzeichnis und lösche dann die Folder. Dann sollte es gehen.

        Meine SD Karte ist übrigens Standard Laufwerk mit FAT32 formatiert (ohne Volume)

          Der Stick heißt NO NAME, ist ebenfalls mit FAT32 formatiert und die Daten liegen alle im Root. Volumes ist nur die Bezeichnung unter Mac für externe oder interne Speicher.

            So jetzt bin ich auch schlauer, nachdem der nette Support Mitarbeiter von Flymaster per Fernzugriff mein Gerät auf Herz und Nieren überprüft hat. Letztendlich hat er festgestellt, dass die AGL Daten in dem Sektor wo ich gefolgen bin, eindeutig fehlerhaft sind.

            Heute das Gerät im anderen Fluggebiet ausprobiert und siehe da, funktioniert alles.

              Super, Glückwunsch.

              Aber da wir wohl alle die selben Daten von Flymaster verwenden (ist ja auch noch Ver.1.0) wäre interessant zu wissen in welchem Gebiet diese Daten falsch sind. Bzw. wird es von Flymaster dazu korrigierte Updates geben? Und muss man annehmen dass auch noch andere AGL Daten Fehler behaftet sind?

                In Sammenheim (Bayern) gibt es ein kleines Schleppgelände, wo eben die Geländedaten falsch sind. So wie es aussieht bleibt es erstmal bei der Version 1.0.

                @MAXL: also für Anfänger ist es schon eine Hilfe wenn man ungefähr die Höhe über dem Boden kennt. Einschätzen funktioniert noch nicht so richtig. Ansonsten geht es mir darum, dass alle Funktion auch funktionieren für welche ich auch bezahlt habe. Ob man das wirklich später so benutzt, ist eine andere Frage.

                    Bis ich auf ein paar Lufträume a la 600m AGL gestossen bin. Da fand ich die Funktion plötzlich ganz praktisch zum Weiterfliegen
                    Bei Skytraxx sollen die AGL Werte zusammen mit hohen Sinkwerten einen Alarm auslösen können (Rettung ziehen).

                          Ja, die Ungenauigkeiten sind mir bekannt (Verschlechterung der Auflösung auf 90 x 90m anstatt 30 x 30m). Das hatte aber weniger mit militärischen Gründen (vgl. GPS) zu tun, sondern um die genaueren Daten für kommerzielle Produkte weiterverkaufen zu können.
