Das waren's wohl, die ersten drei im Ziel in Monaco. A Wahnsinn!

habt ihr auch den tom (ger II) beobachtet?

vorallem in den letzten tagen: da war ein bulk, tom, rozic, gadd, holger... tom konnte sich von etwa 1km auf etwa 20km vorsprung absetzen. der coconea gibt auch noch gas.

aber dagaults finish ist ja unglaublich...

respekt vor allen, ich könnte bestenfalls bei "X-Alps LX"
mitmachen. dass ist die variante wo man die dem hubera
von landeplatz zum 2-hauben-lokal geflogen wird und dann weiter auf den startplatz...

THE UNBELIEVABLE FINISH OF DAVID DAGAULT

A short reminder: On the first day of Red Bull X-Alps David Dagault had only one competitor behind him. On this arrival in Monaco at 17.40 pm on Saturday, he had only one person in front of him: Kaspar Henny (CH I), who in some parts of the race was over 24 hours before the French. In the end Kaspar only reached the finish line some 5,5 hours before David. In the last two days the French underlined, why the experts considered him as a secret favorit. They have been right: David made 110 kilometers in the air on Friday and continued with another 67 under very bad circumstances today – a world-class performance!

“I am ****ing dead,” – were his first words after the landing in Monaco. It was obvious that the French has given everything today; he didn’t even eat and just wanted to reach the finish line as quickly as possible. “I only wanted to walk, walk, walk. My body was like a machine,” said David after his touchdown in Monaco. He started early in the morning in St-Étienne-de-Tinée and was taking full risk despite enourmously hard winds. Two hard landings were the result. At one of them the Online-Tracking-System EAST crashed and the Internet community as well as the organizers expected David 60 k’s before Monaco for quite a while. In the afternoon supporter Nicky Watts delivered the surprise informing about David’s arrival.

ist natürlich total doof für david, dass ausgerechnet in dem moment wo's keiner überprüfen kann, weil er sein tracking-system kaputt gemacht hat er einen wahnsinns100kmflug hinlegt und den bis dahin mit deutlichem abstand vor ihm liegenden(mit funktionierendem tracking-system fliegenden) boxi überholt...
viele werden jetzt vielleichtdenken er sei ein paar kilometer mit dem vw-bus gefahren - aber man soll ja wirklich nicht immer alles problematisieren.

Ich glaube, du hast da was falsch verstanden. Es hat nur die Funkübertragung nicht funktioniert. Das hat aber nichts mit einem Fehlen des Track Logs zu zun. Ansonsten wäre Dagaults Flug natürlich ungültig!
....Auszug aus dem Reglement:
"In addition to the EAST, every athlete must carry a GPS Logger. Each team is responsible for their own track log."
...und
"The backup track log must display a tracking interval of at least two minutes."
Die Rennleitung verfügt also über den exakten Flugweg. Die gesamte Dokumentation nur per EAST durchzuführen wäre undenkbar, da die Positionsdaten ja per GSM Netz versendet werden und man demnach in Gebieten ohne Netzabdeckung keinerlei Kontrolle hätte.
