Dear fellow pilots.
Please feel free to reply in German. I can read German but I do not write very well. I hope it is OK that I write in English.
I have a Swing Nyos RS from 2018 with only 150 hours. I'm really happy with this glider.
On launch this winter I was contacted by a friendly pilot that also had a Swing Nyos RS glider.
I was informed that he had seen multiple Nyos gliders that had issues with the fabric / cloth on top of the glider have "wear and tear" against the Nitinol rods. I checked my glider and correctly, I found several holes that matched what he had seen. Ripped cloth along the rods, and "stretched sewing" that seems to be on the way to become a problem after a while.

It seems to me like the Nitinol rods are too sharp / thin against the cloth. It then tears up the sewing and creates a hole after a while along the rods.
My glider does not have many hours and not much ground handling and I know that this part of the glider is seldom in contact with the ground.
I guess there are a lot of Nyos pilots in this German group.
Has anyone else seen this problem with Nyos RS gliders? Or, maybe with other brands also (I'm not sure if the is general problem). If so, what has been done to fix this and has there been any contact with Swing to raise this issue?
I'm in contact with my local dealer, and so far I get good help there. But what happens further towards Swing I don't know yet.
Please let me know if you have some experience or information about this issue.
Danke im voraus und Viele Grüße :-)
Arild
